THE price of brand-name milk has soared 10 to 20 percent in Shenzhen, according to a Shenzhen Economic Daily report yesterday.
The price of dairy products was also expected to rise as companies faced pressure from increasing costs, according to a source with the city's association of dairy farms and enterprises. The source attributed the rise to price hikes of raw materials worldwide. The newspaper report said milk prices in other major Chinese cities had also increased 10 to 20 percent.
