  • Art students learn Thangka paintings

    Students make Thangka paintings at an art school of Wutun village in Huangnan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, northwest China's Qinghai Province on Nov. 28, 2007. Thangka painting is a unique art form of Tibetan paintings, which is usually painted on scrolls of brocade. It is a mark of Tibetan's devotion to Buddhism and often serves as an object of worship. In order to pass and develop the Thangka making skills to the young generation, Wutun Village built the art school.
