- Trade within Taiwan Strait expected to break 110 billion USD

Jiang Zengwei, Vice Minister of Commerce, said that this year trade between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait is expected to break 110 billion US dollars.
By the end of July, total trade from both sides of the Taiwan Strait reached 670 billion dollars; while Taiwan's trade surplus to the mainland reached 439 billion dollars.
The Ministry of Commerce has approved 74,000 projects, with the investment of Taiwan businessmen at a value of 44.7 billion US dollars.
The Chinese mainland has become Taiwan's largest trade partner, largest trade surplus source, and largest investment destination.
