- Huarong securities unit begins operations

CHINA Huarong Asset Management Corp. launched its brokerage unit, Huarong Securities Co., yesterday.
The China Securities Regulatory Commission has approved the venture and the registered capital of the Beijing-based Huarong Securities is 1.51 billion yuan (US$199.74 million). China Huarong Asset Management Corp. provided 1.5 billion yuan and China Gezhouba (Group) Corp., a hydropower power producer, contributed 10 million yuan toward the venture.
