GOME Electrical Appliances, China's top electronics retailer, said Sunday it might take part in further consolidation of China's electronics retailing sector, targeting in particular retailers of mobile phones and other information technology products.
Gome president Chen Xiao's remarks show that China's largest appliance and electronics retailer is still on the prowl to buy other firms after it reached a deal late Friday that lets it run and eventually own the business of smaller Beijing-based rival Dazhong Electronics Co.
