- February retail sales up 16.9%

THE country's retail sales in February rose 16.9 percent from a year earlier, the National Bureau of Statistics said yesterday.
Retail sales last month totaled 701.37 billion yuan, the bureau said in a statement on its Web site. The bureau earlier reported China's retail sales for the first two months of this year rose 14.7percent from a year earlier.
