- 15b to expand Yangtze River navigation

THE Ministry of Communications said Tuesday that it will spend heavily to improve navigation channels and coal, ore and container berths along the country's longest waterway, the Yangtze River. 'The government will invest 15 billion yuan (US$2 billion) in the next five years,'said Li Jiansheng, an inspector with the ministry's Water Transportation Department at a meeting held in West China's Chongqing Municipality.
