- China Pacific sets subscription date

CHINA Pacific Insurance (Group) Co. said in a statement Friday the institutional tranche of its initial public offering (IPO) of up to 1 billion A shares would open to subscription Dec. 13 and Dec. 14, and the retail portion would open to subscription Dec. 14 only.
The company said in a separate prospectus issued Friday that it planned to list on the Shanghai Stock Exchange on Dec. 25. The insurer didn't say how much it aimed to raise from the IPO, but a person familiar with the deal said last month it was seeking between US$4 billion and US$6 billion.
