- Chinese share prices rebound

BEIJING, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese share prices rebounded on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index gaining 0.62 percent, or 32.17 points, to close at 5,233.35 in volatile trading.
The index retreated modestly Tuesday after a strong rise in the previous day.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange ended at 17,427.77 points, up 228.73 points, or 1.33 percent.
The Hushen 300 Index, which accounts for 60 percent of the nation's stock market value, rose 0.92 percent, to 5,265.03.
