BEIJING, June 22 (Xinhua) -- China's share prices dropped on Friday as the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index tumbled 3.29 percent, or 139.37 points, to close at 4,091.45.
The key Shanghai index, which covers both A- and B-shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, was traded between 4,024.49and 4,249.43 on turnover of 170.9 billion yuan (22.2 billion U.S. dollars).
The Shenzhen Component Index on the nation's smaller bourse dropped 3.72 percent, or 529.89 points to end at 13,725.72 on turnover of 90.4 billion yuan (11.7 billion U.S. dollars).
