- PetroChina appoints A-share underwriters

HONG KONG-LISTED PetroChina Co., the country's largest oil and gas producer, has appointed three securities companies as underwriters to manage its A-share initial public offering on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the 21st Century Business Herald reported Thursday.
Citing unnamed sources, the newspaper said the three securities companies are UBS Securities, the Swiss bank's joint venture with Beijing Securities, China International Capital Corp. Ltd. and Shanghai-listed CITIC Securities, the report said. Earlier this month, PetroChina filed its application with mainland regulators to sell up to 4 billion A-shares through an initial public offering in Shanghai.
