Chinese shares started lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening at 4,133.19 points, down 17.94 points, or 0.43 percent.
The index, which tracks both yuan-denominated A-shares and foreign currency-denominated B-shares listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange, closed at 4,151.13 points on Thursday.
Shanghai and Shenzhen stock bourses saw a fresh record turnover on Thursday amid declines of major indices on profit taking.
Market worries are obvious, though analysts with the Shanghai-based Shenyin & Wanguo Securities anticipated the market would restore upward trend.
