- CNPC eyes stake in Zhuhai bank

CHINA National Petroleum Corp. (CNPC) has approached Zhuhai City Commercial Bank for a possible stake purchase, the China Daily reported yesterday.
'It's true that negotiations are underway and we are aiming for a controlling stake,'the report quoted an official from the capital operation arm of CNPC as saying. The report quoted an analyst as saying that such a deal would broaden the financing channel for CNPC, one of China's major oil companies.
