BEIJING, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- Chinese share prices opened higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opening the morning session at 6,056.95 points, up 26.86 points from the previous closing.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller market began its trading at 19,139.93 points, up 51.27 points over Monday.
