- Mobile-phone users reach 515.67 million

THE number of mobile-phone users in China, the world's largest mobile market, rose to 515.67 million at the end of August from 508.56 million at the end of July, data from the Ministry of Information Industry showed yesterday.
There were 372.45 million fixed-line users in China at the end of August, down slightly from the 372.77 million at the end of July, according to the data. Between January and August, communications industry revenue rose 11.0 percent from a year earlier to 523.47 billion yuan (US$69.24 billion).
