- Macao's jobless rate sees drop

Macao saw a 3.0 percent unemployment rate in the statistic term from April to June, 0.2 percent up over the previous period from March to May, according to official statistics issued Saturday.
The figures from the government-run Statistics and Census Service showed that the number of jobless residents seeking their first job was around 1,100, or 11.6 percent of the unemployed population from April to June.
Macao's total labor force was estimated at 305,600 in the period, the figures showed.
The special administrative region has a population of 520,000.
